Magnetic personality
I've had a bit more time to work on this, though I'm swamped with finals. Not much new aside from the, well, weapon arms. I threw some magnets into the arm slots - the other models that I need to work on also have magnetic weapon arms, so I figured the owner would appreciate a bit of interchangeability.
Here's some other weapons I yoinked off a fex. I don't even know if Hive Tyrants can carry whatever these weapons are. I should probably get myself a Tyraneducation at some point.
I've been putting off working with greenstuff on this model for a while mostly because of the extreme amount of work school has been hitting me with recently. I am unmeasurably excited about the summer and not having to deal with these classes anymore.
Anyway, all that I think is left on this bad boy is a bit of greenstuff around the sockets, his tongue, and a proper base!

This item was thrown in as part of a trade agreement. The owner requested that, due to my experience with forgeworld projects and resin with the Squiggoth, I assemble and properly base this Winged Hive Tyrant. Not really all that big of a deal - a bit of pinning, a bit of greenstuff, and a bit of gravel and I should have everything in order! However, the project gives me an opportunity to take some pictures of an interesting Forgeworld model, so...
For those of you interested in the wings in particular, here are front and back shots. Perhaps this'd help somebody make/sculpt wings of their own.
The biggest annoyance on this model is his tongue - if you check Forgeworld's site, you can get a look at it. It's the flimsiest little piece of resin I've ever seen, and it's far too small to even consider pinning. I did my best to try and attach it solidly but it simply snapped off at the base with a bit of handling. I think I'm going to go ahead and make a new one out of a paperclip and some greenstuff just so I can be sure that sucker'll be structurally sound.
Unfortunately, I wasn't provided with arms for this sucker, so I can't photograph him with any. That is, unless the guy I'm doing this for requests I use one of the spare arms off the Carnifex sprue or something to that effect, which is possible. I'm also going to have to use a bit of greenstuff to adequately blend the seams between the wings and the body, I think, though it isn't that much of a space to worry about.
