Drakhun headaches

Let's jump right to it, then.

The Man-O-War Drakhun is one of my favorite models in the Khador lineup - a big dude in steam-powered armor atop a horse that will kill you. Hard not to like it.

What I don't like about it is the head. I think it looks silly and small!

I mean, functionally, I understand it. The guy's head is mostly inside the torso. Still, I'm considering some alternatives. MaxMini.eu sent me a couple of their steam knight heads to play with, and two of them seemed particularly appropriate for the task, so I gave 'em a quick dry-fit and photographed 'em.

Are any of these better than the originals, you think? I could add a head-fin to the top of them, like the Drakhun's stock helmet... and I could dremel the collar out a bit to get them to sit lower to the body, but first I'm having a hard time deciding if I even like these alternatives more than the stock head, so I thought I'd put it up for review.

  1. I say Alt Head One, with the head sunk in a little to make him not look like a total fatty >_>.

  2. Head two looks more Steam-punkish, I think. Add a blade/fin to it, and I think that’s a winner.

  3. Haha, maybe it’s cos im a loyalist but personally I think the Manowar model’s teeny head works really well. If I had to choose though, id go with alterna head one.

You don’t reaaaally need to put the fin on. That just denotes his drakhum-ness I think, and you have his shoulder plate for that :)
