Using a bakable clay like Super Sculpey or FIMO, you flatten out a smooth surface of the stuff. Then you grab a skull (plastic, metal, whatever) and repeatedly press it into the clay so that it leaves the indentations of a skull - basically, make a sheet of skullprints like this. Then bake the Sculpey or FIMO until it's nice and hard. This makes the 'master' - basically, a firm, solid press-mold with tons of skull negative imprints. Then you lubricate the master a little bit - I think Z said he used Vaseline for this - so that you can pull things off it easily. Grab some greenstuff, mix it up, and smush it onto the 'master' that you've made. Let it dry for a little bit, and then carefully peel it back out - you'll have a sheet with skulls sticking out of it.
