Lootin’ all my paint

Nothing too tremendously new, I'm just taking some time and getting some color on these Lootas.

They're not entirely done, but go nuts with the critique - I want to hear what needs improving. For my own part, I'm not entirely thrilled with the way the orange cabling looks just yet, and it's hard to do a ton with the big hunks of metal that the deffguns present. I also really want to redo the horn and bone details on them, since they look shoddy.

Input's welcome, in any case, while I work on getting the other lootas at least this far before I get into the minutiae.

  1. The orange cabling does look a bit funky. Maybe try using a more neutral color, and the metal of the guns needs to be broken up a little.

  2. It might look cool to go in and make the cable more patchwork, maybe with a few stripped areas where the copper would show through. I agree with Kroot on the uniformity of the guns. A few areas of different hued metal panels, or the eponymous checker pattern might give them that little bit of personality.

  3. Can I ask how you do your ork skin? I’ve been reading you blog for a couple months now and it’s far and away my favorite that I’ve seen.

Would you share the color recipe how you get that nice green?

    Keep up the great work!
