What is this brush doing in my hand?

It's been a while since I've touched this thing's base, but I found myself in the right mood to give it a go, so I have some new photos for you guys.

So, there's a few differences. The barrel on the gargant's actual base is now orange, based on the recommendation I got from a few people. I do agree that green did not look right. Also, the tiles in that demolished corner are now white, instead of a strange tan color. I did this so that I could put a different color over them later, but I can't figure out what sort of color looks good there. I really want to get some sort of appearance of maybe marble on them, but that's harder than it sounds. The entire board got drybrushed with slightly lighter colors, too, and a few washes here and there.

The grot's been painted some, but he still needs a lot more work. The guardsman has not yet gotten the attention of a brush, and won't for a little while.

It's moving along, but there's still a fair amount of work left. I think I might want to paint darker stripes across the grot to match up with the footprint, but I like it's sunken in muddy appearance compared to the rest of the base, as it makes it stand out a bit more.
